MELT Festival 2025 is back in Ferropolis, Germany, from July 11–13, 2025. Thousands of fans are expected to join this three-day music celebration, with international DJs, live bands, and a one-of-a-kind venue known as the “City of Iron.”
MELT is not a regular music event. It takes place in Ferropolis, an open-air museum filled with giant coal mining machines. These steel giants, some more than 30 meters tall, surround the main stages and give the festival an industrial, futuristic look.
Since its first edition in 1997, MELT has become one of Europe’s most famous electronic and indie music festivals. Each year, more than 20,000 to 25,000 people travel from around the world to be part of it.
The festival will run from Friday, July 11, to Sunday, July 13, 2025. Organizers have promised over 100 acts across several stages, including:
• World-class DJs (techno, house, and electronic)
• Indie and pop bands from across Europe
• Special late-night sets that last until sunrise
The full lineup will be released in the coming months, but past performers include big names like Florence + The Machine, The xx, Nina Kraviz, and Jamie xx.
Location: The industrial backdrop of Ferropolis sets it apart from other festivals.
Non-stop music: Music doesn’t stop here. Stages play almost all day and night, and many people love the sunrise shows the most.
Diversity: The festival is not only for electronic music. It also has rock bands, pop shows, and many other music styles for everyone.
Early-bird tickets: Around €159 for a 3-day pass (prices rise closer to the event).
Camping: Festival grounds offer camping sites near the stages. Many visitors also stay in nearby towns like Dessau and Wittenberg.
Travel: Ferropolis is about 120 km from Berlin. Trains and shuttle buses are arranged annually to transport fans to the venue.
This year, organizers are focusing on sustainability. MELT 2025 plans to reduce plastic waste by introducing reusable cups, improving recycling systems, and offering eco-friendly transportation options for fans.
MELT Festival 2025 is more than a concert — it’s an experience where music, art, and history meet. If you are looking for a summer trip with unforgettable nights, thousands of music lovers, and one of the most unique venues in the world, Ferropolis is the place to be this July.
